Abstract :
Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) is a network-based IP mobility management protocol, which can control mobility independent of the type of access system or the capability of the mobile node. Along with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) mobility, network-based IP mobility management protocol can establish route optimization effectively and ensure terminal and session mobility. PMIPv6-SIP and mobility management are discussed in the literature, but efficient performance analysis and mathematical modeling has not been standardized. This paper proposes a new PMIPv6-SIP architecture to compare with Pure-SIP in terms of handover delay and packet loss.
