Abstract
To generate 3D content and to synthesize the 3D virtual video for various 3D displays, this paper designs and implements a real time FPGA based 3D image generation system. In order to achieve comfortable 3D content watching and real 3D viewing experience, the stereoscopic parallax of display is adopted in the warping formula and hole filling of DIBR. The experimental results show that the real time 3D image generation system can achieve a low hardware overhand and provides a comfortable and real 3D viewing experience.
