Abstract
A panel has been formed to study situational approaches to organizing and managing knowledge-based system (KBS) development efforts. It is noted that the most effective approach to organizing KBS developmental efforts is to start with specific company situation requirements and then develop an organizing approach suited to the specific organization, system, people and available resource requirements, and limitations under study
