Abstract :
This paper deals with carrier supplies for radio relay systems which are performed using a frequency modular design that offers a high degree of flexibility. Each carrier supply contains two modules, a synchronization module and various voltage controlled oscillator modules for different frequency ranges. For example, in the frequency range 6 to 9 GHz, an output power of 100 mW, spurious signal suppression of > 100 dBC and thermal noise lower than 2 pWOp in an 1800 channel system at 100 kHz baseband frequency were realized in an economic way.
