Abstract :
The Beaufort Sea area has vast reserves of oil in the geological formations under its frigid shallow waters. These reserves may need to be tapped some day soon specifically if there are problems of getting oil from the Middle East and other present sources. It is not known for sure how vast the reserve is and how soon it will be needed. For the last 20 years, there has been much effort to find this out. It is the subject of this paper to find out exactly where the oil is, how much there is and how to get it into the Alaskan pipe line practically and economically
