Abstract :
The growing interest in power quality has led to a variety of devices for mitigating power quality problems. This paper introduces a new integration between adaptive shunt active filter (ASAF) and three-phase dynamic voltage restorer (DVR), this integration is considered as a new power quality controller. This paper proposes a new control algorithm which takes care of all the current harmonics produced by nonlinear load in addition to it mitigating the voltage sags produced by different faults at remote system or starting of large motors. Simulation is used to verify the control concepts.
