Abstract

This paper extracts environmental pollution factor in Liaoning province utilizing principal components analysis method. The regression analyzes relationship between GDP per capita and environmental pollution indicators using data from 1990 to 2008.The results state: the fitting curve between principal component factor of environmental pollution and with per capita GDP is different from environmental Kuznets curve. Liaoning province should transform the mode of economic growth; optimize and upgrade industrial structure; increase environment coordinated development economic growth and environmental quality.
