Abstract
Measured noise deviations over the video range 0-25 kHz off the carrier are presented for free running or injection locked Gunn oscillators and compared to those obtained with high order avalanche diode frequency multipliers in the vicinity of 94 GHz. Some details are given about the Gunn diode mode of operation and the measuring system is described. The interest of low power phase locked Gunn oscillator as compared to avalanche frequency multiplier in the 94 GHz is discussed.
