Abstract :
This work present the automation techniques and mechatronic elements used to automate a "sloping plane" which measures friction characteristics of geosynthetic interfaces. It generally describes the sloping plane mechanism and the measurements needed, also it specifically explains the sensors selection, user interfaces, control elements, simulations and results of this instrument.
