Abstract
A highly linear 2.3 GHz CMOS power amplifier applicable to Wibro/Wimax RF transmitter with AM-AM and AM-PM compensation is presented. The varactors are used as a part of tuned circuits to correct the phase distortion and gate bias control circuit to compensate the amplitude distortion of power amplifier. The proposed CMOS PA has been implemented in 0.13 um CMOS technology. The simulation results show the improvement of P1dB of 5 dB and the PAE from 2.5% to 7.5% at the average power, respectively.
