Abstract
We give a review of certain aspects of quasioptical techniques applied to millimeter wavelength systems. We summarize the results of theory of Gaussian beam propagation, and describe in particular how dielectric materials can perform useful system functions, acting as directional couplers, hybrids, filters, and diplexers.
