Abstract :
Chinese calligraphy is received increasing attention nowadays. More and more schools open the calligraphic course and lot of foreigners start to learn calligraphy. The learning procedure is time costing and it is necessary that teacher should be with students together and give instant guide during the whole training period. Although many computer aided calligraphic learning systems occurred to help people learn calligraphy. But these systems cannot give an instant evaluation to help people increase learning efficiency. In this paper we introduce a Chinese Calligraphic training system based on virtual reality by which learner can write on iPad screen to practice copying writing, virtual writing. The evaluation result of user´s writing will be given using the skeleton matching and stroke order matching just after users finish writing. We use this system in some schools and the test result shows that it can improve the learning speed and interest.
