Abstract :
Based on a heuristic model of optical scintillation, aperture averaging effect on irradiance scintillation is investigated. The results shows that aperture averaging has a remarkable effect as receiving aperture sizes are larger than 3 mm, and spherical wave has a high effect than plane wave.
