Abstract :
Multicast communications using a high performance data transfer system based on distributed shared memory (DSM), which we previously developed, may create bottlenecks in the network because its internal processing speed is equivalent to or higher than network transfer speed. Therefore, we propose a commoditized technique reflecting features of DSM for low latency multicast. By utilizing small size descriptor for each receiver, our new technique reduces data republication caused by multicast and maintains concurrency and high performance of the original DSM communication system.
