Abstract :
The recently suggested method (Gluskin (1998)) for an adaptive determination of a typical frequency of a signal/process, based on a nonlinear transform of the input process and a sampling procedure defined by the process itself, without giving a priori any prescribed time or frequency unit of measurement, is further developed for a more detailed estimation of the process´s spectrum. The method is relevant to stationary random processes.
