Abstract
This paper deals with a new technique of polarization switching using a rectangular microstrip antenna which is electromagnetically coupled in close proximity to the micros trip feed line. The paper illustrates the operation principle which is verified experimentally. More precise experiments show that adjustment of the antenna dimensions enables the antenna to match to the 50 ohm feed line independently of polarization of the antenna.
