Abstract :
This paper presents the results of a bipolar integrated circuit implementation of a Schmitt Trigger, using a Gain Cell, with a frequency response in excess of 10 MHz. This design is a part of a building block for performing analog functions in complex analog integrated circuits. The motivation was to research the translinear principle and its behaviour in not yet studied configurations (closed loop structures). The innovation of this design is the use of a Gain Cell in a feedback configuration implemented on a conventional bipolar IC technology
