Abstract
A great deal of efficiency and productivity increase have been achieved in the production process through the use of electronic commerce (E-commerce) in recent years. These developments have created remarkable opportunities for the trade-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES) whose advertising and marketing budgets are relatively limited. In the era of internet, how to seize the great development opportunities and keep growing in the fierce competition environment are the key issues for small and medium-sized enterprises. After a description of E-commerce advantages to the international trade, this paper explores the current problems that existing in the trade-oriented SMES, based on the mentioned above analysis, the countermeasures are brought out.
