Abstract :
Line scanning is obtained by means of a Fresnel reflection grating, in the form of a flexible band which rapidly moves across a system of rollers in front of the antenna aperture. The method is advantageous in that fairly high scanning frequency can be obtained, the scan pattern is nearly ideal, and the scanner itself is quite compact.
