Abstract :
For multi-rectangle detection, this paper proposes a detection approach based on chain-code tracing. It improves the method of chain-code trace for getting rectangle contour based on geometric property of rectangle. Then divide this contour into four segments and determine rectangle by line fitting and ensure detect precision by affirm true rectangle using evidence collected. Numerical experiments demonstrate that this approach has better robustness and precision and can advance the detection speed compared with the existing algorithms.
