Abstract
This work deals with the development of an expert system based on agents for analysis, validation and characterization of environmental data relevant to monitoring of the level of atmospheric pollution in an urban area with high road traffic level. A mathematical model to identify the local pollutant concentrations and to forecast their temporal dynamics is here proposed. In this context, suitable "agency" to control, to validate and to interpret environmental data, has been developed and some correlations existing between the polluting values measured in various monitoring stations have been carried out.
