Abstract :
Based on cascaded sum frequency generation and difference frequency generation, a novel broadband multichannel polarization-insensitive wavelength converter is demonstrated in a periodically poled MgO:LiNbO/sub 3/ (PPMGLN) waveguide and with two pump wavelengths advantageously located out of signal band.
