Abstract
This paper presents a study for modeling harmonic currents injected by the three-level PWM converter of the highspeed railway traction drive. In the study, an analytical approach for the converter harmonic model based on the double Fourier series method is described. The time-domain simulation results obtained by the use of PSpice are then compared with those obtained by the proposed three-dimensional model. It is shown that the harmonic currents determined based on the proposed model are highly agree with those results obtained by using the time-domain simulation tool.
