Abstract
This paper presents an artificial neural network used to forecast meteorological parameters, such as air temperature, humidity, wind velocity and others, along the road. The final goal of the project is to foresee ice formation ahead in order to scatter salt and to prevent car accidents. The system analyses, in real time, the data from a meteorological station along the road and it tries to forecast future values of the parameters in the next three hours. Then a mathematical model is able to calculate ice formation probability on the road.
