Abstract :
Theory for attenuation in non-homogeneous rain is extended to include the probability function of equivalent rain cell diameters. An improved method for rain attenuation prediction is proposed. Predicted results are compared with experimental data obtained on 41 terrestrial links and 5 earth-space paths in Europe, Japan, USA and Africa.
