Abstract
A solution is provided for the realization of recursive two-dimensional local state space (LSS) filters using a linear systolic array with strictly nearest neighbor communication. The proposed array realizations are based on the problem of finding a systolic realization of consecutive matrix vector multiplication. Alternative solutions to the problem are suggested, and performance tradeoffs are discussed
