Abstract :
A simple method is outlined to calculate the characteristic impedance of both unilateral and bilateral fin-lines. The results agree well with measurements reported in the literature. The characteristic impedance is related to slot width, location of the slot, relative dielectric constant, and frequency. Results concerning the equivalent circuit elements of discontinuities are also given.
