Abstract
Baseband distortion equalization is a new method for equalizing residual intermodulation distortion in microwave links, thereby easing maintenance requirements and improving transmission quality. In this paper, the concept of the adaptive baseband equalizer is outlined, and the block-diagram of an equalizer for independent equalization of eight distortion products is discussed. Finally, experimetal results of intermodulation noise reduction obtained with the adaptive baseband equalizer are presented.
