Abstract :
A powerful and easy to use microwave carrier pulse modulated time domain reflectometer is presented which allows precise fault location measurements on feeders for microwave links over a large frequency range (1,5 ... 18 GHz). The use of direct reading variable RF calibration standards in the beginning and the end of the feeder prevents reflection factor calibration problems.
