Abstract
Interference pattern with phase shift and variation of amplitude between interfering laser beams are simulated. The distributed fluence patterns are transferred by irradiation into metallic thin film target on transparent substrates. As a result, liquid and thermal processes are induced, and periodic nano-sized structures are generated in a single shot of laser irradiation. The unit nano-sized structures are nanobumps, nano-waterdrops, nano-whiskers, etc. Composite or designed structures of these are also generated.
