Abstract
A computer simulation tool for SOEC design has been developed based on CFD technique. Many key design parameters such as different support layer and electrode properties are studied to show the effects from these design parameters. Also, various operation conditions are simulated to predict the optimal condition for the SOEC operation. Simulation results indicate that Cathode support design show the best performance when compare to anode ad electrolyte support design. Increase porosity of cathode will increase the performance of the SOEC, however, porosity higher then 0.6 will not further enhance the SOEC performance.
