Abstract :
We develop a method of calculating approximate statistical distribution of band-limited PSK signals in the single-carrier framework. The analytical form is valid for MPSK as well as π/M-shifted MPSK. The numerical results based on the proposed approximation show good agreement with those obtained by conventional Monte-Carlo simulations when the roll-off factor of the pulse-shaping filter is moderately large.
