Abstract :
In the construction of smart grid, Energy Management System is a necessary system. Energy Management Terminal Unit is an important part in this system. This paper introduces a new type of Energy Management Terminal Unit based on UC 7420 of MOXA company. The Operation System is Embedded Linux OS. User software is designed in modular and each module is achieved by a separate thread and the whole modules use multi-thread technology. The terminal enables multiple threads to read meters and improves the efficiency of reading meter and real-time of power datas greatly. The terminal adds shell script and WDT to improve the stability and reliability.
