Abstract :
In this paper, a computationally efficient, high performance algorithm for color filter array (CFA) demosaicing is introduced. We use a spatially adaptive weight function that generates interpolation weights based on the local texture of the image. The interpolated color channels are then refined to conform the criterion of hue smoothness. In this process, we used a novel hue indicator. The proposed method is compared to competing existing methods and outperformed them all.
