Abstract :
These studies was performed as part of study "Epidemiology and Prevention of the main risk factors of IHD in young persons of different regions of Russia". Standardized cross sectional population surveys were used for the evaluation. A randomized (91%) sample of students from two Universities was screened (n=2650, aged 17-25 years) in Mezhvouzovskaja hospital using the Coronary Risk Profile Questionnaire and physical examination. Prevalence of smoking for females and males was 5,9 % and 41% respectively.
