Abstract :
Monolithic lasers of composite Nd:YAG/Cr:YAG ceramics with different Nd concentrations and cavity lengths were tested. A passively Q-switched pulse energy of 1.7 mJ with a duration of 313 ps was obtained from a Nd 2.0 at.% doped ceramic.
