Abstract :
The optimum circuit topology of cavity stabilized FET oscillators is found out from comparing various circuit configurations. Output power, loaded Q-factor, stable tuning range, FM-noise and power dissipated in stabili- zing resistors are related by both a large-signal and a noise analysis.
