Abstract :
The hardware realization of a Grand Alliance 8-VSB demodulator as a measurement instrument with numerous control and experimental facilities is presented. Its tuning range covers all practically used UHF-channels and at the output the MPEG transport stream can be obtained in three different interface formats. First field- and performance-tests have been carried out in 1997 at the ATTC in Washington DC, during NAB at Las Vegas (NV) and at Zenith Electronics Corporation, Glenview (IL)
