Abstract
This paper presents mechanisms and tools to realize integration of software documents created in different life cycle phases. Scenarios from a very tight integration to a rather loose one are supported. Besides discussing the functionality of the tools that realize those integrations, a generic framework for the development of integration tools is introduced. It provides a common tool architecture and delivers templates that have to be filled out to instantiate a new integration tool. An integrator between requirements engineering and programming in the large is described as the first instantiation of that environment
