Abstract :
The periodic sampling strategy simplifies the analysis and implementation of generator excitation control in power system. However, it may lead to unreasonable distribution of the resources because the sampling frequency has to indicate the worst scenario of the system operation. The paper applies the self-triggered control algorithm to design the generator excitation controller of power system. The basic idea is that the next instants of time at which the control action is to be recomputed based on the current or last state measurement of system, and update of next control order is satisfied with the Lyapunov stability theory. At the same time the time complexity and space complexity of the self-triggered excitation controller of generator are also analyzed. Finally, the results of simulation show that this control strategy greatly reduced the CPU work load.
