Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have shown that there exists a generalization of the Bessel beam that can be more efficient for some nonlinear optical interactions. The intensity-length product maybe larger for asymmetric beams but still maintains the advantageous characteristics of the Bessel beam, such as an extended longitudinal focus and a well-defined angle with respect to the z-axis.
