Abstract :
According to the principle of generating-forming method, this thesis introduces a method of addendum lines´ chamfering for the driven gear in spiral bevel gear pair. The mathematical model of addendum lines´ chamfering is proposed and the equations of chamfering trace are deduced. The problem is transformed into constrained optimization, which can be solved by the use of the MATLAB optimization function to find the optimal solution of design variables. With a specific example, the feasibility of the theoretical method is proved through the theoretical results.
