The unrestrained exploitation of coal resources lead to severe environmental problems in resource-exhausted areas in China. The environmental pollution and ecological damage degree are the basis to the eco-environmental restoration, both to determine the scope and to calculate the investment. So in ecological damaged area, to evaluate the damage degree is more important than evaluate the quality. By the example of coal mine area in Mentougou district (MTG) of Beijing, China, the author built the index system of eco-environmental damage assessment, with the fuzzy comprehensive assessment model, the general index value of eco-environment damage condition was got, then the damaged degree of eco-environment in coal mine areas was assessed and regionalized. At last, the assessment results can be as an important factor to plan the eco-environmental restoration.
