Abstract :
A method for numerically determining the weighting matrices used in the design of an LQG/LTR compensator is illustrated. A constrained optimization problem is formulated and solved to generate a controlled system that satisfies performance and robustness constraints, and minimizes a frequency-domain performance measure representing a desirable system characteristic. Also shown is that this method can be used to balance the principal gains over a wide range of frequencies
