Abstract :
Two techniques for electronically tuning the TE01 mode resonant frequency of a dielectric resonator are presented and compared. A compact tunable dielectric resonator assembly is described which offers greater than .75% tuning range and an unloaded Q maintained at above 1000, features which are most desirable where low noise frequency agile sources are required.
