Abstract
An iterative method is developed for computing radiating electromagnetic fields in a bounded contrasting domain that is embedded in a homogeneous medium. The method is based on the minimization of the global root-mean-square value of the residual in the linear functional equation that is equivalent to the integral equation for the electromagnetic field in the contrasting domain.
