Abstract :
The Emergency Department is a very complex framework; a model which simulates this service requires a large amount of time to be built and implemented. In this paper a generalized flexible model has been built up in respect to all common structural and functional characteristics of every actual emergency room. This simulation model can be easily adapted to several emergency departments by means of few appropriate changes in the model frame, in parameters and obviously in data.
