Abstract :
The main aim of this article is to apply the modal analysis to double three-phase transmission lines, modeling the frequency dependence of the line parameters. For the typically important frequency range of switching electromagnetic transients, from 10 Hz to 10 kHz, the proposed model uses a single real transformation matrix. The model presents a transmission line frequency dependence model in digital programs, such as ATP, EMTP, EMTDC and MICROTRAN. Some results of presented model are given, for an actual double three-phase transmission line, obtained using the program Microtran.
