Abstract :
LAI (Leaf Area Index) is the basic research on green vegetation O2CO2 exchange, water recycle and water-lose, solar energy utilization efficiency. The LAI indirect method-Imaging Digital Canopy, based on “gap-fraction” process, was used and described in this paper. 9 typical various plant communities measuring spots were settled. It showed characteristic marks of community such as LAI, radiation transmission co-efficient, extinction co-efficient. LAI of rain forest was measured according to height of community in different developing stage. The study also analyzed technique to minimize error about the Digital Plant Canopy Imager CI110. It was discussed that LAI of seashore rain forest was lower than that of typical mountain rainforest. LAI correlation of various vegetations was also mentioned. The result should supply scientific basis to study on air environmental effects of tropical seashore vegetation.
