Abstract :
A fast automatic mixer test set with a flexible user interface has been built. Special hardware adaptation allows swept data to be taken and processed at high speed for accurate measurement of conversion loss, isolation, and VSWR for mixers from 10 Mhz to 18 Ghz. Flexible software provides the user with unusual freedom to use the hardware to best advantage and view the data in the most convenient fashion. Conforming to industry standard measurement practices and using the best available techniques for error correction gives accurate data that correlates well with manual or conventional automatic network analyzer data.
